=The Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) organised its 15th Foundation Day lecture here on Tuesday.
Forbes Marshal co-chairman Dr Naushad Forbes graced the event presided over XIMB-XUB chairman Rajive Kaul. XIMB Director and XUB vice-chancellor Fr Paul Fernandes was present.
Noted academicians, Government officials, eminent business personalities, Government board members, faculty, staff, students and alumni of XIMB-XUB attended.
The students learned a lot from Dr Forbes as he motivated them to excel by sharing his experiences and discussed a few important lessons through examples.
He spoke on the Future of Indian Industry and the role of managers in the future of Indian industry. “Oppose anyone who asks you to conform to a narrower definition of being an Indian. I am a Parsi who struggles to speak Hindi, who eats beef, and a proud Indian. Diversity is India's strength,” he said.
After the talk, a question-answer session was held where the audience’s questions were answered by Forbes. Fr Paul Fernandes proposed a vote of thanks.
