XIMB holds Teachers' Day in unique way

It is rightly said, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” Teachers build us, they mould us and develop our characters. Starting from early school days, teachers have paved the way for us to follow.

The Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) celebrated this year’s Teachers’ Day in a unique way, a cultural evening where the students performed for their beloved and respected faculties.

The teachers took time out of their hectic lives and joined the fun and frolic to make the event a success.

The evening kick-started with a dance performance of the first year students of Business Management, followed by dance and song performances of the HR and Rural Management students, dedicated to their teachers.

Balakrishna, a dear friend of Prof DV Ramana, presented an inspiring performance. His visual disability did not stop him from dreaming and could not suppress his indomitable passion for music.

He is also an inspiring and motivating teacher in a true sense. Faculties like Father Arockia Das, Subhasis Ray and MN Tripathy warbled songs to entertain the audience which was quite informal, jovial and reflected a vastly different side of theirs.

The students extended their messages of thanks to the teachers through a well-crafted video. The evening saw the warm bond shared by the students and faculties and it reiterated the beautiful line of Curl Jung,

“One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.”
