The Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) organised its annual national-level HR and Finance Summits, Kshitij and Finomics, respectively, here on Sunday.
The Kshitij featured a discussion based on the topic ‘HR Analytics: The Next Frontier for Workplace Transformation’. XIMB Professor SS Ganesh gave a brief introduction on Big Data, effects of social media on HR functions, various Matrices on Analytics, etc.
Several representatives from various business firms spoke on the role of a HR and how HR adds value to business by adopting new trends, aligning HR strategy, building capacity in terms of human capital. Besides, the speakers also highlighted types of HR Analytics and how they give business intelligence and are implemented in BPO industries.
The Finomics focused on the topic ‘Impact of Regulations and Politics on Indian Financial Markets and its Future Challenges’. RBI General Manager (Foreign Exchange Department) Himanshu Mohanty said that the financial market is an important condition for the country’s growth. The summit emphasised on accessibility of micro-financing institutes to the general public in the country, timing in the market analysis and general investment preferences of the Indian market.
