The Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (XIMB) held its three-day 17th annual fest Xpressions 2013 from Friday. The event witnesses participation of prestigious B-schools and undergraduate colleges every year.
The Xpressions carries the motto of delivering a larger-than-life experience to all participating colleges. The theme for this year was “Xplore”. The level of enthusiasm among the students was phenomenal.
Kurkukshetra, Gladiator, Skill City, Helios and Spardha, the business game committees of the XIMB, embarked upon their respective games.
Among the cultural events, Aaghaaz; The Nukkad Natak competition, was held on the inaugural day. The event saw scintillating and exemplary performances. Social messages wrapped in meaningful songs and splendid dialogues gave the audience food for thought. The KIIT University lifted the trophy consecutively for the second year. Aalap and Goonj, the singing competitions, also took place.
The mega event of the first evening was Carnival De Vougue, the fashion show, which attracted a huge crowd. A canvass of vibrant colours and beautiful designs were showcased on the stage. Talented young individuals walked the ramp and set the tempo. NIFT Kolkata emerged as the winner followed by the XIMB.
