The XIM University conducted its Eighth Convocation in hybrid mode on April 29 for its Postgraduate and Doctoral programmes.
Chairman and Managing Director of ITC Limited Sanjiv Puri was the chief guest and Convocation speaker for the evening. The university conferred Honorary Doctoral Degree upon Puri.
Among the eminent dignitaries present were Chairman, Board of Governors of XIM University Fr Jerome Cutinha, Emeritus Chairman Rajive Kaul, VC Fr Antony R Uvari, Registrar Fr S Antony Raj, Chief Finance Officer Fr V Arockia Das, deans of different schools and officials of the university. A few of the elite Board members also graced occasion.
Dean, School of Governance and Public Affairs Prof S Peppin extended a cordial welcome to the guests and audience.
VC Uvari elaborated on the achievements of the university in the past year and highlighted a few notable points.
Addressing the audience in his Chairman’s speech, Cutinha expressed his views on learning and development. Emeritus Chairman Kaul spoke about the challenges in life in the unprecedented times.
The top rank holders across schools were felicitated with gold medals by the chief guest. A total of 33 medals were won by meritorious students for their academic distinction.
Finally, the vote of thanks was proposed by Registrar Antony Raj.
