The School of Human Settlements (SHS) of Xavier University is hosting its annual urban conclave, SAMAVESH’21, from September 23 to 26. The theme for the conclave is ‘Transforming Cities: Striving Towards Resilient Urban Systems.’ The event is being organised by HabituX, the student association of SHS and in collaboration with CAS-SHS. The event would highlight ways to protect the urban environment and making the cities resilient, well-equipped to deal with natural and man-made events, absorbing the effect of a wide range of economic, environmental and social dangers.Stress also would be laid on innovative solutions to improve urban livelihoods, restoration, reuse and effective generation.
Esteemed speakers from the urban Industries are sharing their wisdom and expertise of how the city, with its many systems, companies, institutions, communities, and individuals, strive to manage the city holistically and enhance its capacities to make the cities resilient for the future.
