The BJD is using Hockey World Cup as propaganda for the 2019 elections. This is an international sport event not anyone’s personal event. Lots of dollar has come from the international hockey board for the event but not for advertisement of the Chief Minister. The huge screens at different places of Bhubaneswar look like election propaganda of the BJD. Instead of showing highlights of earlier world cup matches and personal profiles of players, the LCD screen is full of self-advertisements. Odisha is part of India and should not boast of the even t as a personal achievement of the Chief Minister. The Assembly session, which was supposed to run for 23 days, was cut short only after five days. We feel sorry for being Odias, and we live in our past. This is what happened where the people are blind and the king is a one-eyed jack!
