The 12th World Clay Day was celebrated here with Covid guidelines on Wednesday (June 16). Along with the nature lovers, the founder of the day, environmentalist and Supreme Court lawyer Radhakanta Tripathy celebrated it by smearing clay on their bodies.
The day was observed at the Salandi riverbank near the Sahapur Panchamukhi Hanuman temple. The participants decided to spread awareness for safeguarding earth, air and water.Tripathy appealed to people to give complete justice to the environment by the judicious use of different natural resources. Among others, Kalandi Mallick, Debasis Panda, human rights researcher Sitakanta Tripathy and Debendra Bedi were present on the occasion.
