With a view to improve the shooting facility in Odisha and provide better facilities to shooters in the State, the process has begun at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar.
The support for this has been obtained from the Aditya Birla group and the Gagan Narang Academy, Gun for Glory, said National Rifle Association of India vice president Kalikesh Singh Deo.
In the shooting range, there would be five Trap and Skeet ranges and 22 lane pistol shooting ranges. Coaches of national and international level would impart training to shooters, informed Singh Deo.
The Orissa Rifle Association has around 10-12 ranges including one at Bolangir. The shooting range is expected to fully functional by three years and it would go a long way in boosting the game, Singh Deo added.
