A State-level workshop on road safety was held by the Sankha Dhwani Rasta Surakhya Samiti here on Tuesday with Khordha Collector Niranjan Sahu inaugurating the workshop in the presence of Additional Transport Commissioner Samir Panigrahi and Regional Transport Officer lalmohan Sethi.
The workshop aimed at making all Sankha Dwani Sahayogi in each district competent enough to carry out the State’s initiative of road safety awareness programmes and to assist in formation of clubs in various Government schools.
Samiti Working President Subrat Nanda highlighted the draft of Motor Vehicle Act and road safety. Besides, the Auto Wheeler Manual and the Sadaka Surakhya Quiz Book published by the Samiti were unveiled on the occasion.
