The Regional Resource and Training Centre (RRTC) East Zone-III, Odisha, which is run by the Association for Voluntary Action (AVA), organised a workshop on “Role of media personnel on prevention of alcohol and substance abuse” here recently.
AVA president Sudhir Chandra Dash presided over the workshop. Drug abuse prevention Specialist Sriharsha Mohanty, Narcotic Control Bureau Superintendent Dilip Robidas graced the occassio as guests. Mohanty talked about the current statistics of drug and substance abuse in Odisha and urged the mediapersons to publish more news on the subject so that people would be conscious. Journalists like Niranjana Biswala and Prasanna Tripathy spoke on the occasion.
