The district construction workers federation held a meeting in Mohana block where hundreds of workers from Adava, Birikote, Aliganda, Khariguda, Raipanka, Mandimera, Guluba, Dengaskhal, Damadua, Paniganda and Kottama panchayats attended.
President Suneli Baliarsing, adviser Upendra Nayak, Ranjan Kumar Mahapatra of Bus Owners Association, president of Biswakarma Construction Workers Association Satyabadi Maharana, secretary of Gajapati Construction Workers Association Gandhi Mallick and AWDDC district convenor Jitendra Nath were present.
The speakers criticised the step-motherly attitude of District Labour Officer towards construction workers of
Gosani, Gumma and Kashinagar blocks.
They decided to lodge complaint with the Collector Gajapati, 5T Secretary and Chief Minister against the DLO and threatened to take to streets if the grievances were not sorted out.
