Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday reviewed the cyclone preparedness with Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra and Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Kumar Jena through a virtual platform linking State control room and cyclone dashboard.
Patnaik said every life is precious; thus all possible steps should be taken to protect life and again sought cooperation of people in State administration’s evacuation operation.He asked administration to monitor situation regularly. The Chief Secretary briefed the CM about the steps taken regarding evacuation. The SRC made a presentation regarding latest status of cyclone. He also briefed on arrangements made for drinking water, special arrangements at Covid hospitals, oxygen buffer, power supply and communication network plans.
Jena said that evacuation operation was going on in full swing and all people would have been evacuated from vulnerable places by Tuesday night.
