The Odisha Mahila Mahasangha led by State president Debasisha Hota has threatened to hold an anti-liquor rally on April 27 at Parikheda village under Sogarpasi Gram Pachayat in Dhenkanal. Their specific demand is closure of an illegal liquor shop operating in the house of one Abhaya Hota.
Here it is noteworthy that Abhaya is operating the liquor shop in his house with the support of his family members. The local people have been constantly complaining against the liquor shop with the police.
Though a case has been registered against Abhaya, the police are not active in the case as Abhaya is a physical handicap.
