The Educare and the Visionary International School jointly organised a meeting on the International Women’s Day here on Thursday.
Kalinga Sporting Club general secretary Subrata Bandopadhyay attending as chief guest talked about importance of the day. Presiding over the meeting, school Headmistress Sonali Priyadarshini said every woman should always remain conscious of her own security and bind her family by being affectionate to all and doing her duty properly.
On the occasion, various programmes were held to encourage women to create their own identity in the society.
In the end, Educare chief manager Dhiren Kumar Rath emphasised on giving importance of women’s access to every sector while calling upon them to fight for their rights and raise voice against family violence. “Women are not subjected to pity of others, and they are as courageous as men,” said Rath.
