A 44-year-old woman, who had been presumed dead, woke up at the cremation ground in Kaniapali village under Polsara block of Ganjam district on Sunday. She was then taken to the Polsara Community Health Centre, where doctors declared her dead.
The woman, identified as Dukhi Behera, did not get up in the morning. Her family members examined her condition and presumed her to be dead. They took her to the village cremation ground and prepared the funeral pyre. Minutes before putting her on the pyre, one of her relatives noticed some movement in her hands. From the cremation ground, Dukhi was rushed to the Polsara Community Health Centre by an ambulance. After examining her, doctors declared her dead.
