Police on Wednesday detained a woman and her father for allegedly killing Padmanav Sahu (38), the husband of the arrested woman, with a grinding stone at Gandala under Hinjili police limits in Ganjam district. Police recovered the body of Padmanav from his house and detained Kumuddini and Subash, wife and father-in-law of the deceased, respectively, said Addl SP Ajaya Pratap Swain.
The police are investigating into the incident with the help of the Chhatrapur Scientific team. Prolonged family dispute is suspected to be reason behind the incident, said Hinjili police station IIC Prasant Sahu. Kumudini was staying with her parents after frequent quarrel with her husband.
