Two unidentified miscreants looted Rs 80,000 after opening fire at a woman in Dhanaghara Nugaon village under the Begunia police station Khordha district on Thursday.
The victim, who was working for a private finance company, sustained bullet injury on her leg. She was admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) here.
As per reports, two masked bike-borne men snatched the money from the woman after firing two rounds before speeding away from the spot.
Some locals rushed to the spot and shifted her to a nearby hospital. After primary treatment, she was shifted to the DHH.
On being informed, police reached the spot and started investigation into the matter.
