A woman was raped at her home on Saturday at Paikabasa village while her husband was away.
The 45-year-old woman alleged before the police that while her husband Bhima Charan Mohanta was not present in the house, one Sunaram Barik (37) of the same village entered into the house by force and her. His associate Budhuram Barik aided and abetted the crime. She was saved by the neighbours after she produced noise. On Sunday, police registered a case based on the FIR and have started an investigation.
