Tension prevailed in the Bansada area in Bhadrak district following alleged molestation of a woman passenger by the conductor and the helper of a private bus on Wednesday night.
The incident came to light after the victim lodged a complaint with the police on Thursday.
As per the complaint lodged by the victim, the woman had boarded the Balasore-Chandinipal-bound private bus at Nandapatana on Wednesday evening.
After the bus arrived at Nandapatna, all the passengers got down from it. As the victim was about to get down, the conductor and the helper told her to drop her at Dosinga. While the bus was on the way, she was allegedly molested by the two bus staffs who looted her ornaments. later, they dropped her at a secluded place.
