A woman Maoist cadre, identified as Dalmati Paharia alias Madhuri (15) of Nuapada district, surrendered before the Superintendent of Police on Tuesday.
Paharia left the organisation due to step-motherly attitude of Maoist leaders towards Odisha-cadre Maoists, she said, adding that she had been forcibly inducted into the cadre.
She was carrying a cash reward of Rs one lakh on her head and working as a cadre under the Menpur-Nuapada divisional committee of CPI(Maoist) since June this year. She would be rehabilitated as per the relevant scheme of the State Government, the SP said.
