Woman lecturer files case against Haraprasad

In a further setback for noted writer and columnist Haraprasad Das, a woman lecturer in a Government college and writer, Pallishree Patnaik, on Thursday filed a complaint with the police alleging that she was harassed by Das mentally.

Pallishree lodged her FIR at the Bhawanipatana Town police station seeking stringent action against Das.

In her complaint, she alleged that Das had first known her on social media platform Facebook and then started sending obscene messages and sought sexual favours on the pretext of boosting her literary career.

“I was mentally and socially harassed by Das, and now, I am planning to file a defamation suit against him in court,” Pallishree said to reporters. She approached the police three days after Das filed a defamation case in the Bhubaneswar SDJM Court against eight persons including Pallishree. He had told reporters he was not active in social media for a long time and someone might have hacked my Facebook account. “A complaint was lodged by her today alleging she was mentally harassed,” said IIC SN Satpathy.
