A married woman was allegedly killed at the bus terminal in Jagatpur near Cuttack on Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Kuni Sahu.
According to reports, the woman had gone missing in the evening, following which her husband lodged a complaint with police. Shockingly, she was found dead at the bus terminal on Wednesday morning. Police recovered the body for postmortem and initiated an investigation.
“We have registered a case while further probe is underway to ascertain the circumstances under which the woman died. A scientific team has been roped in. Preliminary investigation indicates that the woman was murdered. It appears that she was strangled to death with her saree. Postmortem report will bring a clear picture,” said ACP, Zone-I, Cuttack, Arun Swain.
