The Ersama police on Tuesday arrested a woman in connection with the alleged murder of a youth of Bhuinsahi village under Japa gram panchayat two days ago.
Notably, the body of Mithun Sahoo had been found hanging from a tree near the Tigiria river on Sunday wee hours. His parents and villagers had blocked the Kujang-Ersama road alleging that Mithun was murdered and demanding an impartial probe. The family had also filed a complaint naming a woman, with whom Mithun had extramarital affairs, and suspecting her hand. Meanwhile, autopsy has been conducted on the youth's body.
