In a shocking incident, a middle-aged woman was found dead in a pool of blood with multiple injuries in her body from a half-constructed house in Sector 8 of Abhinav Bidanasi here under the Markat Nagar police station on Thursday evening.
While the identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained, the police went into tizzy after stumbling upon a middle-aged man lying unconscious with his tongue severed just a few meters from the spot where the woman’s body was located.
Sending the unconscious man to hospital, the police began investigating into the unusual incident with the help of scientific teams. While sources in the Markatnagar police station confirmed the incident, repeated attempts to get further details about the motive behind the twin incidents were not possible as top police officials had rushed to the spot and were not available for comments.
