The Vigilance police on Tuesday caught Madhusmita Mohapatra, Forest Guard of Sambalpur Sadar Forest Range, red-handed while she was demanding and accepting an illegal gratification of Rs 36,000.
Mohapatra demanded bribe from one Parsuram Mirdha of village Beherani Basa to process his bill for construction of VSS building and execution of plantation works in village Beherani Basa by members of VSS under Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project (OFSDP).
