A woman of Bhadrak district was fined Rs 13,000 by RTO officials for violation of the new traffic rules.
During a checking in the Rural police station area, the RTO officials stopped the woman who was riding a scooter without helmet.
When the woman, identified Nahi Asgar, failed to produce documents like insurance and driving licence (DL), the officials issued a challan against a fine amount of Rs 13,000.
The challan was issued against her for traffic violation, including Rs 5,000 for riding her father’s scooter, Rs 5,000 for not having a DL, Rs 2,000 for not having vehicle insurance and Rs 1,000 for not wearing helmet.
“I was going to pick my daughter from her school when the officials stopped me,”.said Nahi.
