A woman engineer was allegedly killed by her parents’ in-laws at Burla in Sambalpur district on Monday.
The deceased, identified as Deepika, and her husband were earlier working in a software firm in Bhubaneswar. But, for the last few months, she had been staying with her parents’ in-law at Burla leaving her job. Deepika’s in-laws called her family on Sunday and informed that she was electrocuted while handling the heater. Her family members, however, alleged that her in-laws are behind her murder. Police detained her parents’ in-laws and started investigation into the matter.
