A woman was found hanging in a room under mysterious circumstances at Ogalapada under the Info Valley police limits here on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified was Madhusmita Jena. Her wedding had been scheduled to take place after two months. She was working with a private company in the city.
Though the reason behind the death was yet to be ascertained, it was suspected that she took the extreme step of ending her life by hanging herself while no one was present in the house.
Police recovered the body for postmortem and started an investigation into the incident.
