In a shocking incident, a woman has committed suicide as her husband did not allow her to go to her father’s house. The incident took place in village Sanatanpali in the district, about 30 km from here on Tuesday.
According to police sources, Saraswati Bag had requested her husband Bhiren Bag to allow her to go her father’s house. Bhiren refused to let her go stating that agricultural cultivation works were underway and asked her to go sometime later.
Frustrated over the decision of her husband, Saraswati consumed poison. She was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, where doctors declared her as brought dead.
Police lodged a case of unnatural death in this connection. The couple has a one-year-old child.
