In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly died due to heart attack while her sick son was under treatment in a hospital. The incident took place at Hathigarh CHC under Jaleswar block. Following the spread of the tragic news, a pall of gloom descended upon the village.
According to reports, Salmon Murmu, son of Maien Murmu of Rangamatia village under Raibania police station, was taken to Hathigarh CHC on Wednesday night as he was seriously afflicted with diarrhoea.
However, during treatment of Salmon, his mother felt severe pain in her chest and collapsed instantly. Although the doctor immediately attended to her, it was in vain. The cause of the death was sudden cardiac arrest, the doctor said.
