A 55-year-old woman, Kuntala Samal, of Madhapur village of Patharchakada gram panchayat under Nayagarh district’s Bhapur block died of snakebite late on Monday night.
She was going to her toilet at around 4 am when a venomous snake bit her. She died while being taken in an auto-rickshaw to the Bhapur health centre. Police have registered an unnatural death case.
