In a shocking incident, a woman and her three-year-old daughter were killed when the Bhubaneswar-Koraput DMU hit the duo while they were crossing the railway track near Bishnuguda in Rayagada district resulting in their death on the spot.
According to sources, Jayanti Bidikia along with her daughter Kamalamani of Karlamuda village were crossing the railway track. They died on the spot.
Meanwhile, the railway police along with the local police recovered the bodies and sent them for postmortem. The train service on that line was disrupted for some time.
