The Government Railway Police (GRP) arrested a woman and forwarded her to court after seizing five counterfeit notes of Rs 500 denomination here on Saturday.
The accused, Reshma Biwi (22) of Sekhbad at Jaleswar, was nabbed by the police at the Baleswar railway station after a tip-off as she alighted from Falaknama Express.
The police said the woman used to circulate fake notes in market since long. They suspected an interstate crime syndicate has been working for circulating fake currencies.
