Four Maoists, including a female cadre, surrendered before the Bonei police in Sundargarh district on Thursday morning.
The Maoists identified as Mansukh Kandulana (20), cadre name Shankar alias Bhagwan, Sanjan Deshra(21), cadre name Arman, Jena Munda(18), cadre name Sachin and lucia Munda(20), cadre name Rinkey surrendered before Bonei ASP RB Pandigrahi and CRPF Assistant Commandant JP Singh at Bonei, sources said.
They are believed to have told the officers that they were operating in Saranda area and decided to surrender because they were being humiliated by their senior carders. They were involved in many Maoist incidents.“After their surrender on Thursday morning, they have been released to lead normal life,” ASP Panigrahi said.
