A woman of the Chandipur area lodged a complaint with police alleging that her husband was poisoned to death by the latter’s stepmother.
According to reports, Jambuban Choubey (30), a resident of Jhagarpadi under Chandipur police station limits, died of poisoning. The father of the deceased Hemant Choubey and his third wife while maintained that Jambuban committed suicide by consuming poison, the deceased’s wife Bishnupriya alleged that he was poisoned to death for property.
Reports added Hemant, a retired police officer, married three women. While the first wife died without having any issue, the second one too died after delivering a male child. Then Hemant married the third one and they have no child out of their wedlock. Bishnupriya, the wife of deceased Jambuban, alleged that they were tortured by their stepmother for the property. And, in order to eliminate him from property share, Jambuban was poisoned to death, she alleged.
