A woman has alleged cheating and fraud by a Constable of the Odisha State Armed Police (OSAP) 6th Battalion in Bhubaneswar. The accused was identified as Pritiranjan Behera.
The victim on Tuesday met the Bhubaneswar DCP after no action was allegedly taken by the Mancheswar police on her complaint.
The victim alleged that Behera maintained physical relationship with her on the pretext of marriage. After staying together in a live-in relationship, the accused also started avoiding her.
“He (Pritiranjan) had kept me at a rented house and we were staying together. Later, he fled and blocked me on social media as well as blocked my mobile phone number,” alleged the victim.
The victim has also alleged that the Constable also decamped with Rs 20 lakh and other gold ornaments of her.
However, senior police officials are yet to issue any statement on the incident.
