Tragedy struck a family of Boudh district when three of its members were killed and another was seriously injured in a deadly road accident near Gopalmal Chhak on the Manmunda-Kantamal road at around 9 on Thursday morning. A woman and her two children, including a minor, were travelling towards Manamunda by an auto-rickshaw when a pitch-laden hyva truck coming from the opposite direction hit the vehicle and later overturned. The woman’s husband was driving the auto-rickshaw. While the woman and her two kids died on the spot, her husband sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital at Sonepur for treatment. The collision between the two vehicles was so intense that body parts of the victims were severed following the mishap.
