The BJP would emerge as the number one party with clear majority to form Government at the Centre and in Odisha as well after the elections, asserted the party’s Odisha Pravari Arun Singh on Monday.
Addressing reporters here, the BJP State in-charge said the coronation of Party’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi would only be a formality after the election results are declared. Besides, the results of the elections to lok Sabha and Assembly in Odisha
would spring a surprise under the impact of the Modi wave, Singh said.
Stating that the BJD would not be able to form next Government, Singh alleged that apprehending defeat huge money is being distributed by the BJD to influence the voters.
The Election Commission should take strong and exemplary action against the BJD to ensure free and fair elections, he demanded.
He also alleged that there is a tacit understanding between the BJD and the Congress, for which no action was taken against the Naveen Patnaik Government in the mining scam despite the Shah Commission probing into the scam reported looting of minerals worth Rs60,000 crore.
When the BJP is voted to power at the Centre, it would give priority to implementation of a five-point charter of development plan, Singh said.
The plan includes piped water to every village, electricity to every house, health insurance, gainful employment and good road connectivity.
Singh flayed Naveen Patnaik for claiming to be secular. Patnaik has joined hands with a particular religious community and is giving protection to the killers of Swami laxamananda Sarswati, he alleged.
