The case of moral turpitude filed against Odisha cadre senior IAS officer Taradatt by his wife Indulata Das has taken a significant turn with the Odisha State Commission for Women (SCW) issuing a letter to his alleged woman friend to appear before the commission on October 30.
The SCW has on Friday written the letter to Vandana Aggarwal, an Indian Economic Service (IES) officer, in her address at Puspanjali Enclave, Pitampura, New Delhi.
The letter stated that Aggarwal is required to appear before the SCW in Bhubaneswar at 11 am on October 30 as the commission wants to undertake a “fact-finding inquiry” into Indulata Das’ complaint against her in connection with her (Das’) “marital discord’.
Das, who has filed her complaint against Taradatt and Vandana Aggarwal at the SCW for disrupting her marital life, had recently pleaded with the SCW to expedite investigation into the case. Das has alleged that her husband and Vandana Aggarwal have been in close relationship with each other as evident from the numerous mobile phone talks between them for long periods of time, particularly at nights.
