Bilashini Karua, wife of late Mohanty Karua, observed 'Shradha Diwas' of her husband in front of the main gate of Tata Sponge Iron factory situated at Bileaipada under Joda block of Keonjhar district on Wednesday.
Bilashini has been holding a dharana since May 15 in demand of a permanent service and proper inquiry of the controversial death of her late husband who died on August 6,2004 while on duty in the factory. The death is still shrouded in mystery.
Her son Deepak was given a job as sympathy gesture to Bilashini, but he was later fired from services after working for three years. Since then she has been struggling to get justice for her son and alleged controversial death of her husband but in vain.
Sources revealed that a notice from the National Human Right Commission had been issued to Collector , Keonjhar to send the action taken report of district administration . Accordingly, Tehsildar Barbil Khirod Chandra Behera had conducted an inquiry. and Bilashini had also written to the CM and the PM about the mysterious death of her husband and the injustice meted out to her family.
