As part of an ambitious project towards the Digital India initiative by Indian Railways, Wi-Fi services have been provided at the Puri railway station since last week of June.
Now, the Puri station has gained the distinguished status of having high-speed internet facility in the country for its thousands of passengers who travel everyday by trains.
Designed to offer users the best internet experience, RailWire Wi-Fi is available to any user having a working mobile connection on a Smartphone or on any laptop device. This all is a part of the East Coast Railway’s continuing endeavours to provide more and better comforts to esteemed passengers.
Notably, Minister of Railways Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu had on April 17 made a public commitment regarding the proposed commissioning of Wi-Fi services before the Rath Yatra.
The commitment has been met before this auspicious festival and the ECoR feels privileged to be playing its part in the service of pilgrims visiting Puri for the Rath Yatra, said an ECoR release.
