Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday dared Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik not to make any promise to fulfil Bijubabu’s dreams but to clarify why his Government has “failed” to transform its dreams into realities during the last 17 years.

Pradhan said this at a BJP joining ceremony held at Pattamundai in Kendrapada district o the day. BJD leader and former Rajnagar MlA Alekh Kumar Jena, Mahakalpada Congress leader Bijay Pradhan, former ZP Chairperson and BJD leader Nagendra Behera, many elected Sarpanches, Panchauyat Samiti members and their thousands of supporters joined the BJP.

“I had come to Kendrapada four months back. The road work from Pattamundai to Kendrapada has not been completed. Was not this road I the dream of Bijubahu. If it was a dream, they the Chief Minister should clarify why he has not made it a reality in 17 years. No more dream, the Chief Minister should give a detail note on governance,” Pradhan told the gathering.

He wanted to know why youths of coastal Odisha, including Pattamundai, are going outside the State leaving their old parents in search of work.

He called upon all BJP workers to get united to achieve a change in the State. “This change will not only be a governance one but a change that will make Odiha number one,” he said.

On the occasion, he also dared Patnaik to hold an open debate with him on the development aspects of the 17 years.
