The State Government’s 5T initiative is not a new concept. IAS officers were being taught about 5T (Transparency, Teamwork, Technology, Transformation and Time) during their training period. It is a very old concept. Why has the BJD introduced 5T after ruling the State over 20 years?
Bhubaneswar BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi asked this while attending a ‘Run for Unity’ rally held here.
“Was not 5T in implementation in the Government system during the last 20 years? Is Government shrinking powers of Ministers and Secretaries by creating a special 5T Department and giving the charge to a specific person? Does the Government questions the efficiencies of Ministers and Secretaries of other departments like Home and Health Departments,” Sarangi, also a voluntarily-retired bureaucrat, wanted to know further.
She suggested that all Secretaries and Ministers be made efficient and empowered instead of creating a separate 5T Department and giving its charge to a single person. She said people will benefit much if the present system is strengthened.
