A book on Kandhamal fraud and travesty of justice, titled “Who Killed Swami laxmananandaIJ”, was released here recently.
lokshakti Abhijan, Odisha president Prafulla Samanatara, State convener of INSAF and Campaign Against Fabricated Odisha Narendra Mohanty, columnist Kedar Mishra, National Solidarity Forum coordinator Dhirendra Panda and writer of the book Anto Akkara were present. The writer claims to have brought out some information on the mystery shrouding the killing of Swami laxmanananda Saraswati. Swamiji was assassinated on the sacred Janmashtami night on August 23, 2008 in hs Jalespeta ashram which later triggered a backlash leading to a communal riot in Kandhamal. Nearly 100 Christians were killed and 300 churches and 6,000 houses were plundered in rendering 56,000 homeless.
