Principal Secretary to Government Madhu Sudan Padhi has written to the DGP Abhay regarding submission of a report over the implementation of lane driving guidelines in twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
The report will be submitted before Supreme Court for appraising it on the progress of the implementation. Strict implementation of lane driving regulations is of paramount importance for reduction of accidents and fatalities, official said in letter. For compliance of direction of apex court, steps may be taken for implementation of lane driving guidelines intwin cities in first phase for safety of road users and to reduce traffic congestion.
