The Kotia border dispute has become the topic of discussion across the State. While Andhra Pradesh Ministers and administrative officials are frequently trespassing into the Kotia area, the Odisha Government has remained silent over the matter, the BJP said on Wednesday.
Along with the 21 villages of Kotia in Koraput district, the situation in two panchayats of Gajapati districts is the same. In these areas, the Andhra Pradesh Government is implementing its own schemes. But the Odisha Government is making no effort to ensure that its schemes reach the people of the areas. In the 23-year-long rule of the BJD, Odisha’s rivers, borders, language and women are unsafe, alleged BJP State general secretary Prithiviraj Harichandan.
The Chief Minister should state what steps he has taken for resolving the Kotia dispute. If the Kotia issue is not solved within a month, the BJP would be forced to hit the streets, Harichandan said.
