The result being Wesco has to face exorbitant loss and modernisation and upgradatuion and even regular maintenance is becoming impossible due to cash crunch. “Hence, to make Wesco financially sound, such a step has become necessary,” said Wesco administrative officer Er PK Pradhan.
Domestic consumers apart, Wesco will also publish the names of the commercial organizations and industrials houses which are also to pay huge arrears to the company, Pradhan added.
At the first step, these consumers would be approached to pay their bills. If they take no heed of it, electricity supply would be disconnected to them, the press release states further. It further directs the consumers to contact their local SDO and executive engineers and finalise the bills.
