A group of friends who are ardent lovers of the literature of eminent writer Manoj Das have launched a website www.callofthehorizon.com where one can purchase online all the books written by Das in Odia and English and translated into different other languages.
The group’s spokesman Nirvay Ranjan Padhi said in a Press release on Monday that the forum is a service to readers who often wonder how to find any or all of the works of the author in Odia, English and other languages.
This is a nonprofit venture and a labour of love for the writer as well as for his fond readers. Orders can be placed online. Books are supplied post-free with a token discount too. Should the customer so wish, the books can be autographed by the author, Padhi said.
This is the first such kind of a website for any Odia writer where readers can get autographed books by the writer from a single source, he said.
Initially, more than 50 books by the author are kept in the website, and the organisers are expecting to collect a few more books in near future, he added.
