The museum showcases the vintage weapons and the prowess of Indian military to attract the civilians towards the defence force.
As many as 14 weapons those either used by the Army or the Navy which performed extremely well during various wars, including the World Wars I and II, are housed in the museum.
The DRDO authorities said that the park is open for civilians on various occasions as well as on non-firing days, adding that young mass would be attracted and inspired by the museum.
“The museum would remain opened for the general public on non firing days . This would attract and inspire the young generations, particularly the student community, towards the Indian defence force,” said Additional Director Military Affairs PXE Col Rutupurno Sengupta.
While it was inaugurated by DRDO Chairman S Christopher, Director of the unit R Appavuraj, scientists and other officials were present.
